Established back in 1994, after studying horticulture, and gaining practical experience both home and abroad, Cormac O’Reilly started his landscaping career, focusing on designing spaces to suit his clients individual needs, but always emphasised the importance in his designs of dedicating generous space within reason to soft landscaping, where gardens would change with the seasons and feel natural, as appose to an over emphasis on terraces and lawns.

As time has moved on, he has became increasingly passionate about designing with plants, in particular the use of herbaceous perennials and ornamental grasses, for creating spaces that look and feel natural, that are sustainable, hold a unique beauty, and are fantastic for biodiversity.

A sensitivity on using plants that marry well together and hold a natural elegant flow, as the garden evolves through the seasons are always key to his designs.

O’Reilly Nurseries and Landscaping is now in a unique position of growing a large percentage of perennials and ornamental grasses in their nursery (strictly not open to the public) which are solely used for their garden projects, and is not open to the public.

Cormac O’Reillys attention to detail has been recognised, as he has managed to pick up multiple awards down through the years including Bloom Gold medals.
